Destinations in Painting: The Kasten Collection EXHIBIT RECEPTION · Lakeland
-This exhibition celebrates one of their most cherished collecting focuses: 19th-century academic painting.
-These 33 works of art, dating from the 1860s to the 1920s, represent the breadth of the Kasten Collection and offer audiences the opportunity to see a past era through the paintbrushes of 28 distinguished artists from England, France, Germany and Austria.

Shine a Light 5K · Lakeland
-The Shine a Light 5k is an event hosted by Florida Baptist Children’s Homes (FBCH) designed to raise awareness and support for The Porch Light, an organization operated by FBCH that helps rescue and restore child victims of domestic sex trafficking.
-Awards will be given out in standard age divisions, and there will be food truck vendors for people to enjoy following the race.

Central Florida Throwdown · SUN ’n FUN Complex
-CrossFit Fenrir presents the Central Florida Throwdown, a fitness competition held in Lakeland that tests cardiovascular endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, agility, coordination and accuracy.

Tick Tock Ultra · Lakeland
-The Tick Tock Ultra is your 12-hour lake-lapping challenge. You will start at 7:00 a.m. traveling along a paved pathway that frames beautiful Lake Hollingsworth.
-Challenge yourself to log as many 2.84-mile laps as possible before the race concludes at 7:00 p.m.

National Public Gardens Day at Bok Tower Gardens · Lake Wales
-National Public Gardens Day is a national day of celebration to raise awareness of America’s public gardens and their important role in promoting environmental stewardship and awareness, plant and water conservation, and education in communities nationwide.

Shine a Light Family Festival · Lakeland
-A family festival will be held on the grounds of First Presbyterian Church to raise awareness and support for The Porch Light, an organization operated by Florida Baptist Children’s Homes that helps rescue and restore child victims of domestic sex trafficking.
-The festival will be great for all ages, with free snacks, a pumpkin patch for family photos, a bounce house, live music, and a “fun run” for kids that will kick off at 10:30 a.m.
