WE3 Expo
Date: Tuesday, November 19 – Thursday, November 21
Venue: SUN ‘n FUN, Lakeland
- Visit more than 200 booths that represent the various Career & Technical Academies and Educational Programs through Polk County Public Schools.
- This Expo is the perfect setting for parents, students and the community at large to learn more about Polk Academies and other career and technical programs offered in Polk County Middle and High Schools.
Cirque Dreams Holidaze
Date: Thursday, November 21
Venue: The Lakeland Center
- Audiences will be thrilled by gingerbread men flipping midair, toy soldiers marching on thin wires, snowmen daringly balancing, icemen powerfully sculpting, penguins spinning, puppets dancing and reindeer soaring high above a landscape of holiday wonderment.
Get Outdoors with Extension
Date: Thursday, November 21
Venue: Babson Park
- This fall, get outdoors with UF/IFAS Extension Polk County as the Natural Resources program combines education with recreation for a fun-filled event outside.
- Each tour will feature the flora and fauna (plants and animals) in the area around us.
Public Ice Skating
Date: Friday, November 22 – Sunday, December 1
Venue: The Lakeland Center
- Celebrate the fun this season as public ice skating returns to The Lakeland Center’s Jenkins Arena.
An Intimate Evening with Clint Black
Date: Saturday, November 23
Venue: The Lakeland Center
- Clint Black, country music singer-songwriter, record producer and multi-instrumentalist, will be at The Lakeland Center on Saturday, November 23.
Astronomy Night
Date: Saturday, November 23
Venue: Mackay Gardens & Lakeside Preserve, Lake Alfred
- Beginners, experts, and people of all ages can view the cosmic skies at Mackay Gardens to spot star clusters, galaxies and Uranus.
Messiah by G.F. Handel
Date: Saturday, November 23
Venue: Winter Haven
- A concert in memory of Carolyn Paul Wheeler presented by the Bach Festival of Central Florida Chamber Singers and Orchestra and directed by Dr. Virginia Davidson.
Tram Nature Tour
Date: Saturday, November 23 & Sunday, November 24
Venue: Circle B Bar Reserve, Lakeland
- Take a personalized tour of the Banana Creek Marsh with a volunteer guide who will point out plants, birds and history of the property.
- Nature Tour sign-ups begin on the first working day of each month.
