- Honor Flight Mission #15 launches from Lakeland Linder Airport on Tuesday, November 12th taking 80 WWII veterans and their guardians to Washington DC to visit the WWII Memorial.
- Join in the Welcome Home Celebration at 8:00 p.m. at the Lakeland Linder Regional Airport Terminal that evening.

Battle of the Guns & Hoses Bar-B-Que

- This fundraiser for the Green & Gold Foundation and B Street Community Service Center includes a Bar-B-Que cooking contest between the Police and fire departments as well as a 50s Car Show and children’s activities provided by High Point Church.
Cypress Gardens Water Ski Team Show

- The Cypress Gardens Water Ski Team (reestablished in 2012 by former theme park employees) performs free shows every third Saturday monthly on Winter Haven’s Lake Silver.
Lake to Lake 10K

- “The oldest race in Polk County” will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2013 in Downtown Lakeland. – Allocated net proceeds will be donated to South Lakeland YMCA in memory of Denis L. Fontaine.

WE3 Expo

- Visit more than 200 booths that represent the various Career & Technical Academies and Educational Programs through Polk County Public Schools.
- This Expo is the perfect setting for parents, students and the community at large to learn more about Polk Academies and other career and technical programs offered in Polk County Middle and High Schools.
